Operations Manager (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a full time Operations Manager to support the Founder & President as a key team member of an international humanitarian nonprofit with a growing presence in the Majority world. Our current Programs include Medical Clinics and Business/Skills Training Centers in the Majority World context.  You must be a mission-driven, self-starting individual who will be responsible for overall operations, IT, administration, and impact reporting for the organization.  The position reports directly to the President. We are a small and entrepreneurial organization, so it is important to be able to provide structure and best practices to the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience managing operations, strong technology skills and preferrable solid international and/or non-profit experience.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
●     Lead our day-to-day operations which includes IT systems, Reporting, Finance, and International Partner communication/relationships.

●     Work with our Accounting Team to develop financial reports and budgets for our programs and the organization.

●     Work closely with leadership team to continually optimize our internal operations, processes and administration.

●     Oversee, refine and create (with the team) WCF’s tech systems for program management, project planning, reporting, outcome tracking, specification writing, etc.

●     Collaborate with Program partners to define, monitor and report on outcomes, metrics and narratives.

●     Manage reporting and planning for our Programs in collaboration with our international partners.

●     Collaboratively lead/project manage the development of new tools, systems and processes for reporting.

●     Own all content being developed and ensure consistency among the different tools/materials produced.

●     Manage team of staff and volunteers with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.

●     Perform risk and issue management: Collaborate with all Program participants to identify risks, issues and potential solutions.

●     Assist in the development of grant applications or proposals.

●     Participate in other duties or special projects as the need arises.

YOU MUST HAVE…
●    Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degrees helpful in IT, management, finance, non-profit or related field.

●    5+ years relevant operations, project management and/or business analyst experience required, including specification creation, risk analysis, issue resolution and field testing. Experience in business focused technology projects are preferable.

●    Strong IT and tech skills; Excel (including data manipulation), Project Management Tools, Database and Reporting Tools, Informatics and AI Tools such as ChatGPT.

●    Strong writing and communications skills.

●    Relevant experience in a Majority World country or in a humanitarian context preferred.

●    Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

●    Skilled in managing multiple projects and prioritizing effectively.

●    Adaptable/flexible - ability to do work that requires shifts in direction.

●    Execution and detail-oriented – can focus on the smallest details of work.

●    Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail.

IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE…
●    Arabic, French or other languages

●    Any experience in medical, education or business fields

●    Strong advanced computer skills such as working with medical informatics or computer programming

●    Experience with Salesforce or donor databases

●    Ability to travel to Majority World countries up to 60 days a year.
