Medical and Dental Teams

We provide healthcare in impoverished communities, refugee camps, and other places with little or no access to medical care.

Our team uses portable devices such as glucometers, urinalysis kits, sonograms, EKG, and X-ray machines to triage patients. They then consult with our practitioners for treatment, prescriptions, and follow-up care, often coordinated through our nearby Medical Life Center.

We are in need of:

  • Medical Professionals
  • Physical or Occupational Therapists

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Mission Trips are short-term teams organized by World Compassion Fellowship. We send approximately five teams each year to locations where we have a longer-term presence, particularly at our Life Centers.

  • Every trip has specific goals that require people with those skills such as a medical team needing medical professionals. However, every team has slots for non specialized team members who can help in other areas.

  • Our teams spend approximately ten days including travel time. There are mandatory general Trip Trainings (usually 1 or 2) in the beginning of the year and each team has 3 or 4 mandatory team meetings that meet in the weeks prior to departure.

  • All travel costs are included in the total trip cost. This includes flights, accommodations, and meals. What is not covered is food in the airports or any souvenirs or non-ministry excursions. Please note that this cost is specifically for those in the NYC area.

  • If you have been accepted for a trip, you will receive a trip-specific payment schedule with a hard deadline for when funds are due. You may also choose to fundraise for your trip. We use GoMethod, a platform that lets you create a personalized fundraiser to share with friends and family.

Please note that all trip payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to join the team for any reason, your funds can be saved for use toward a future Mobile Team trip or redirected to another team member in need.

If you are selected for a trip, all payments due up to the next payment date must be submitted as soon as possible.
