Haiti English / Computer / Vocational Training | Jacmel , Haiti

PROJECT GOAL: English and Computer Camps for At-Risk Youth and Young Adults

WCF aims to equip individuals with the skills they need to be successful in the business world, to support themselves and their families and to affect positive change and growth in their community.

Learning English is much in demand throughout the world and more so in Haiti, a French and Creole speaking nation situated very near English speaking America. Many employers in Haiti will ask for English proficiency as a job requirement.
WCF has developed a customized intensive English proficiency program that provides not just textbook grammar and vocabulary, but also conversation and practical English skills.

Computer skills are also in much demand throughout the developing world such as in Haiti. WCF has developed a Computer Class curriculum that includes Web Development (e.g. HTML/CSS), Excel and basic Windows.

Vocational skills such as sewing and construction are also in demand and more in reach of the average Haitian.  WCF sponsors training classes to provide basic sewing skills.

Through business training seminars and mentoring, WCF provides the tools necessary for entrepreneurs to create opportunity for themselves and their communities. Seminar topics include classes on Entrepreneurship, Business Plans, Budgeting, Marketing, Customer Service, Risk Management and Business Ethics.
