Lebanon Crisis Leave Displaced Families in Desperate Need of Support
-
OVERVIEW: One million people have been displaced in Lebanon
including both Lebanese citizens and Syrian refugees already in the country due to the escalating
conflict. Our 3 Life Centers are located in the North, Beirut area and the Bekaa Valley and are
involved in assisting thousands of families that are in desperate need of basic necessities,
medical care and shelter. Most of the displaced left with literally just the clothes on
their backs.
Our Beirut area Life Center partner has distributed hundreds of food care packages, mattresses and blankets as well as provided thousands of meals and will continue to do so. Dozens of displaced families have been taken in by church members, including one housing 51 people in just 3 bedrooms. Our Medical Life Center has been busy treating not just the usual 500 patients per month, but dozens of additional displaced patients from the south who suffered injuries. Additional medication and medical staff are needed.
Our Bekaa Life Center has had numerous airstrikes close to the LC. Nevertheless, our partner there is committed to providing food, blankets, care packages, first aid kits, housing assistance and in the future education support for displaced children.
In our North Life Center, thousands of families have fled to this area which has not been as directly affected by airstrikes. The people have similar needs - housing, mattresses, blankets, food, hygiene kits, diapers, medicine and if the crisis persists, heaters.

October 18th, 2024
Lebanon continues to be dragged into a war that most of its people do not want and didn't ask for. Nevertheless, our Life Center partners continue to be Christ's hands extended to all people.
Our Bekaa Life Center has suffered severe damage to the facility from nearby explosions, so it hasn't been able to operate normally for the past few weeks. Nevertheless, our partner's staff, including our Life Center medical team, have been going to shelters and schools to provide medical care and distribute humanitarian supplies. Their main request is they need much more medical supplies.

Lebanon Crisis Leave Displaced Families in Desperate Need of Support
-
September 25th, 2024 Today, we mourn the loss of 51 lives and the injury of 223 civilians across Lebanon as strikes ravage our cities. In the midst of this tragedy, our church has come together to extend care and support to all those affected. Over the past week, our members have been working tirelessly to provide essential aid to as many people as possible. Here are some of the key efforts we've undertaken:
Sheltered 25 families by housing them in 5 apartments.
Distributed:- 170 mattresses and 150 blankets
- 22 baby care packages
- 50 bags of bread
- 30 large food and hygiene packages (were given to our pastors, empowering them and the volunteers within their community to cook for families around them)
Provided clothing for 10 families in need.
Organized a volunteer recruitment system to enable people to:
- Cook meals for families
- Collect donations and gifts-in-kind
September 24th, 2024 It is with a heavy heart that we share the tragic news of a youth member from the Resurrection Church congregation in the south. Her home was destroyed by a missile, leaving her in critical condition. Her mother has suffered severe injuries, including the amputation of all her limbs, and remains in critical condition at the hospital. In this devastating attack, we also mourn the loss of the youth member's one-year-old sister. This resilient young woman used to walk an hour and a half each week to attend youth meetings, and now she urgently needs our support. She must leave the south for safety, but her mother cannot accompany her and must stay in the hospital. We are working diligently to provide shelter for her.September 23th, 2024 We kindly ask for your prayers during this crisis. Any support or contributions you can offer will be vital to our ongoing efforts and distributions. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
